What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry
We are off to a great start this new year! Our children, from Pre-K though 5th grade, are learning about Jesus in His younger years and deepening their understanding of who He is and how much He loves us. Over the past few weeks, lessons have included the visit of the Wise Men, Jesus teaching in the temple as a young boy and Jesus’ baptism by His cousin, John the Baptist. This coming week, the children will learn about Jesus calling His disciples to be his helpers. We will learn how they listened and obeyed when Jesus called them saying, “Come, follow me” --Matthew 4:19. We are grateful for our teachers and volunteers who deliver His message to our children every Sunday morning and for the continued support of our parish families. Lenten Prayer Partners
We have a ministry which we invite the whole parish to participate in during Lent. Each of us receive the name of someone to secretly pray for throughout the season, then tell them that we were their partner on Easter Sunday. Some of our parishioners anonymously send cards of encouragement and even give gifts on Easter Sunday when they reveal to their partner that they've been praying for them. The most important thing, however, is that we take time every day to pray for our partner. We may provide small blessings, but the blessings the Lord provides are eternal. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
