Greetings from Gulu!
I have safely arrived in Gulu and have began serving with Dr. Nick at St. Phillips Health center. Thank you all for your prayers and support. It has already been a humbling and eye opening experience.
Upon arrival in Kampala, I had the opportunity to visit and volunteer at Sanyu Babies home, caring for some of the kindest children. There, I was reminded of God’s heart for the vulnerable.
The past couple of days I have had the opportunity to assist some medical staff and sit along side them for patient consults, witnessing the incredible resilience and joy of this community. The needs are great, but the faith and strength of the people here is amazing!
Over the next couple of days this week I will be assisting with triage, where the patients are first checked in and given to a doctor.
Again, thank you for your prayers and support. Please continue to pray for the patients, the healthcare workers, and the Gulu community.
