At both services, Sunday, August 10th, we will have a special blessing for our students and teachers for this upcoming school year. Students, bring your backpacks with you to be blessed, and teachers, please come be present so we may bless you and the work you will do this school year.

Thank you to everyone who gave to the gift card drive and signed up to bring and/or serve food to the teachers and support staff at Haut Gap Middle School.

Breakfast will be served at 8AM, so volunteers, please plan to arrive between 7:30-7:40AM to set up. Enter through the front door. If you are contributing food but cannot attend, please have your dish at Resurrection Hall by 7:15AM.

Mark your calendars. On August 24, we will return to have Sunday worship at Haut Gap Middle School, and our services will recombine into a single 10AM service.

Thank you to everyone who helped facilitate Sunday worship during the summer while we couldn't use Haut Gap, and thank you to all of our members who faithfully continued to attend every Sunday in a less comfortable environment.

The Lowcountry Pregnancy Center currently has an urgent need for wipes and formula. They're also extremely low on diapers in sizes 4 & 6.

Deliver or ship donations to Lowcountry Pregnancy Center, 7481 Northside Drive, Suite B, North Charleston, SC, 29420. Their office hours are Mon - Thu, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM.

Or visit their Amazon wish list to conveniently order formula, diapers, wipes, and other baby supplies for LPC clients.

Sign up to assist our nursery and Sunday school classes. They're loads of fun and all the materials are prepared for you ahead of time. All you need to do is show up and have fun with the kids.

St. John’s Parish Church has a special partnership with the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. The parish ministers to the youth through prayer, cards and gift bags of toiletries and snacks throughout the year. St. John’s parishioners provide cards with personal notes sharing God’s love, hope and encouragement. St. John’s also addresses special needs for the Detention Center as they arise, such as the donation of a basketball goal and implementing a seedling/plant program.

The prison ministry also works with the community to meet requests for cards and toiletries for the local adult prisons. As opportunities arise throughout the year for collections, parishioners will be notified of the need for donations through announcements and in the ENEWS.
