What's Happening in Children's Ministry?

What's Happening in Children's Ministry?

This summer, our preschoolers through 5th graders went on a wonderful journey through the Psalms - hearing the stories, memorizing God’s Word to keep in their hearts, and even learning sign language to express the scripture in a special way.

What's next?
We can’t wait to explore the creation story and other inspiring Old Testament adventures together.

Celebrating the Ministry of Pam Hanckel

Celebrating the Ministry of Pam Hanckel

We would like to recognize Pam Hanckel for her ministry to our children at St. John's Parish Church through teaching and by example. She radiates the love of Jesus and faithfully shares that love with our children on Sunday mornings. When seeds of faith are planted, lives are changed and a lifelong journey with the Lord is nurtured. Thank you for everything you do, Pam.

Blessing Baskets

Blessing Baskets

Blessing Baskets distributes about 400 government boxes of food staples to people on the sea islands, which come prepackaged with addresses. In addition to those boxes, Blessing Baskets packs perishable foods in bags to supplement the boxes and to give to people not eligible for government assistance. This is where we need help. Packing these bags is a huge undertaking from gathering, sorting, and packing the food into bags and its distribution. For more information, please contact Walt Miller or Heath Gunther.

A Prayer for our Parish

Dear Heavenly Father,

Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
