Easter Jesus Bag Collection Kicks Off March 15
St. John’s Parish Church has a special partnership with Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center. This partnership includes providing Jesus Bags filled with toiletries, snacks and handwritten cards of encouragement throughout the year. It’s time for the Easter Jesus Bag Collection. These bags are a true blessing to the youth, ages 13-17 years old, housed at the Detention Center. Many have no access to toiletry items and receive no visitors. A quick stop at the Dollar Store along with a simple Easter card of encouragement can make a difference in their lives. Please consider participating. Thank you for your prayers for the youth. A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
