What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry
Our Sunday School year is off to a wonderful start! Children ages 3 through 5th grade are exploring stories from the Old Testament and discovering how God loves His people and keeps His promises. Our children had so much fun learning about the Tower of Babel—and even built their own towers out of paper cups! Our Pre-K children have also been learning through play. While hearing the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, they dressed up, acted out the story, and experienced this wonderful lesson about trusting God even when we are afraid. We are grateful for our teachers and volunteers who make Scripture come alive for our children each Sunday. We love seeing our youngest parishioners learning, laughing, and growing in their faith! Blessing Baskets
Blessing Baskets distributes about 400 government boxes of food staples to people on the sea islands which come prepackaged with addresses. In addition to those boxes, Blessing Baskets packs perishable foods in bags to supplement the boxes and to give to people not eligible for government assistance. Packing these bags is a huge undertaking from gathering, sorting, and packing the food into bags and its distribution. Interested in helping, contact Walt Miller or Heath Gunther. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
