If you are new to St. John's Parish Church, recently returned or just want to learn more about our ministry, you are invited to attend a welcome luncheon after worship this Sunday, April 14, at Resurrection Hall (1811 Paulette Dr. Johns Island). We would like to formally welcome you to the St. John's Parish Church family, answer any question you may have, and share some food and fellowship together.

Starting tonight, the women will be meeting Thursday evenings at 7:30PM in Resurrection Hall April 11 - May 16 to go through Visionary Parenting by Rob & Amy Rienow. All women are welcome to attend. For more info contact Lori Moore.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry is meeting at 12PM this Saturday, April 13 in Resurrection Hall. 

The Prayer Shawl Ministry provides hand-crafted shawls to give comfort and warmth to those experiencing illness, sorrow, need, or distress.  They also provide baby blankets to celebrate the newly baptized. Makers pray as they create the shawls and blankets which are then blessed by our clergy.

November 23-28, we are sending a team to join in ministry with our brothers and sisters in the Anglican Diocese of Lima, Peru, and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Anglican Church in Peru.

This trip is a great opportunity for families to enter the mission field, and to expose our youth to different cultures. During this trip, we can expect the Lord to show us how to worship Him whether we have much or little, and how our treasure resides in Him, not the things of this world.

By the Grace of God and the Consent of the People, Bishop Chip Edgar, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of South Carolina, will ordain The Rev. David Andrew Rowe to the Sacred Order of Priests on Friday, April 19, 2024 at 6 p.m. at St. Michael’s Church in Charleston. The Rt. Rev. Mark Lawrence will be the preacher for the service.

Beginning Sunday, April 21, confirmation class will be held at 3PM each week in Resurrection Hall. This class is to prepare for Confirmation, Reception and Renewal which will be held June 23. Contact Fr Jeremy for more information.

Come to this year’s Anglican Women Gathering and learn how your daily diversions may be pointing to a deeper longing in your soul. Our speaker, Joy Mast, author of Set Free & Satisfied: A Grace-Filled Guide to Stop Overeating and Start Fully Living, will share how her compulsive overeating led to a profound encounter with God, and how you can experience this intimacy as well. You’ll learn how to identify your own patterns of seeking comfort apart from God, why God is the one who offers us true, long-term satisfaction, and how to replace your bad habits with life-giving moments that refresh and sustain your soul.

Join the Feeding of the Multitude churches for a fundraiser event,  May 25 at the Wadamalaw Island Community Center. $10 wristbands will give access to food and beverages. There will also be music, a jump castle, and face painting. All proceeds support The Feeding of the Multitude.

In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit.
