Join us Shrove Tuesday for an evening of Pancakes and Bingo in Resurrection Hall. We will begin at 6PM with pancakes followed by bingo with prizes for the whole family.

Join us Ash Wednesday at noon for our contemplative service or at 7PM for our service with music. Both will be held in Resurrection Hall.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the Oyster Roaster Fundraiser last Saturday. Thanks to your generous donations, we raised $9115, which is enough to pay for 45 scholarships for Ugandan clergy children. Praise the Lord!

This means we are two-thirds of our way to our goal of raising 75 scholarships by the end of March. Please prayerfully consider donating to help support our Ugandan brothers and sisters in Christ.

ARDF is still hard at work helping to rebuild from Hurricane Helene and has several mission trip opportunities which you can participate in. Prayerfully consider volunteering to help. Click here for more information.

The Thursday evening Men's Group is having a study February 6 - March 20. Led by Sam Gervais and Heath Gunther, they are reading through J-Curve by Paul E. Miller. 

The J-Curve maps the ups and downs of daily life onto the story of Jesus. It grounds our journeys, not in some abstract idea, but in union with Christ and his work of love. Understanding our lives in light of the J-Curve roots our hope, centers our love, and tethers our faith to Christ.

Cursillo 196 planning is underway and expected to be a spirit filled event. It will be held at Holy Comforter in Sumter June 19-22.

Life doesn't always allow us to take part in the Holy Eucharist in a church setting. Because of this, Bishop Edgar and Fr Jeremy authorized the Lay Eucharistic Ministers to take the Eucharist to those who are physically unable to attend a regular church service.

This is a blessed ministry. The Lay Eucharistic Ministers experience the Lord’s presence in a special way as He uses us to minister to those who we have missed in our congregation. He allows us to share his presence with those who need to know that He hasn’t forgotten them, and St John's Parish Church still considers them to be an important part of our family.
