St. John’s Parish Church Blesses Youth with Valentine’s Day Treat Bags

St. John’s Parish Church dropped off 30 Valentine’s Treat Bags for the youth at the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center as well as some treats for the staff. The bags point to Jesus Christ and remind them that they are loved and prayed for by others.

Pictured receiving the Valentine’s Treat bags are (from Left) Captain Driskell and Major Harris. Major Harris said they are so grateful for all that St. John’s Parish does to support the youth.

Information on an Easter Collection will be coming out soon.

Prison Ministry

St. John’s Parish Church has a special partnership with the Charleston County Youth Detention Center. The parish ministers to the youth through prayer, cards and gift bags of toiletries and snacks throughout the year.

The prison ministry also works with the community to meet requests for cards and toiletries for the local adult prisons.  As opportunities arise throughout the year for collections, parishioners will be notified of the need for donations through announcements and in the ENEWS.

For more information contact Chrissy Binz or Libby Puckette, or click the link below.

A Prayer for our Parish

Dear Heavenly Father,

Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
