Grandparents, join Fr. John and Patti Sosnowski, Jeff and Nancy Lamberson, and Dr. Thomas and Libby Puckett on Sunday, September 14, at Resurrection Hall. Save the date, Sunday, October 5 at 5PM, for a liturgy of the Blessing of the Animals at Resurrection Hall. We will have treats for pets and humans alike. This is a great opportunity for fellowship for the whole family.

Group leaders, please remember to check with Sally Dixon to get your group's meeting on the schedule before advertising it to your group. We have limited space and need to be extremely intentional to avoid scheduling conflicts. Thank you.

We are excited to begin a brand-new Sunday School season with a curriculum lovingly crafted by the St. John's Parish Church Children’s Ministry Team. Drawing from both Ms. Pam’s lessons and God’s Big Story curriculum, our teachings will guide children through the major themes of the Bible in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate. In the weeks ahead, children will explore God’s Word through the stories of Noah, Joseph, and Abraham, discovering timeless truths along the way.

All children ages 0 through 5th grade are warmly invited to join us each Sunday during the service from 10–11 AM. If you’d like to volunteer or help introduce a new child to our program, please reach out to us at childrensministry@stjohnsparish.net.

If we listed all the things Lindy does in ministry, we would probably leave something out because he has done so much for the church and for the Lord. He is a member of the choir, was on the vestry, most recently as the senior warden, serves as a lay eucharistic minister and lay reader, and is a vital member of the prayer team. Thank you, Lindy. You are an example to all of us as a true follower of Christ in all you do.

The 2nd Saturday Workgroup meets the second Saturday of each month at 8am at Resurrection Hall. They start with breakfast and fellowship at 8am, then from 9 to 12, they work on decks, wheelchair ramps or minor home repairs. You don’t need to bring any tools, but if you have a favorite hammer and cordless drill, that will be fine. Contact Stephen Haynsworth for more information or to be added to the text group for this ministry.
