Children’s Ministry invites YOU to our Volunteer Lunch & Learn. We will be going over plans for the upcoming school year. Anyone interested in volunteering to help teach Sunday School is welcomed and encouraged to attend.

To support the Haut Gap Teachers and Support Staff this school year, we are holding a gift card drive. Please consider donating a $25/$50 gift card or the funds to purchase them by August 4th to be given to the teachers and staff the following week. 

For all donated gift cards, please save the receipt and secure it to the card when donating.

Summer is almost over, and we're getting ready for the fall study of Nehemiah by Joanne Ellison. “The Islands Group” will be starting on Wednesday, September 11th, at 10:00AM to 11:30AM. Registration is open, and it's not too early to get signed up. If you’re looking for women to come alongside you as you walk through life’s complexities, register now.

A block of seats in the covered upper deck along the first base line has been reserved. Each ticket is $9.00 (for adults or children), and you can pre-purchase your parking pass for $5.00 (in the lot it's $10.) 

The deadline to buy tickets has been extended to today, July 25. Purchase tickets for the game and come enjoy a fun night with your ADOSC family on August 23.

One of our parishioners, John Hope, has found himself in need of new housing. The residence he is currently living in will no longer be available after this year, and he is having difficulty finding somewhere new within his budget. Please keep him in your prayers, and if you know of a potential new home for him, please contact Fr Jeremy or John Hope.

We need adult volunteers to serve our nursery and preschool children each Sunday. Would you consider signing up to help a couple of Sundays so we can continue to pour into the next generation?

We would like to recognize one of our long-time parishioners, Linda Hihn. She has been involved in the Altar Guild, Flower Guild and Choir since well before our move to Haut Gap and is the current head of the Altar and Flower Guilds. We are extremely grateful for her dedication to St John's and to the Lord. Next time you see Linda, please be sure to share your appreciation with her. We are blessed by all she does and our services wouldn't be the same without her.

Prayer Ministry

St John’s Parish Church has had a foundation in prayer since it was founded. The families who formed this church were always ready to pray when the need arose. The prayers of the saints have sustained us through both physical and spiritual times of warfare.

The spiritual battle continues today. Every Tuesday at 1:15PM, a small group meets to address any prayer needs of the parish and to pray where the Holy Spirit leads. Teams are also available for home visits.

Every Sunday we also have prayer teams available during Holy Eucharist. These teams join with anyone in lifting their needs to the Lord. There are two teams on either side of the cafeteria and one team in the hall for more privacy. 

If you are interested in joining the prayer team, ask any prayer team member or email Lindy. 

We are blessed to once again welcome Fr Shay Gregorie as our guest preacher this Sunday.

Fr Shay Gregorie is a native of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, where he lives with his wife, Catherine, and their nine children. They are active members of Christ Church Anglican. He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, is a business owner, co-author of several children’s books, and an ordained priest in the Anglican Church of North America.
