Bring a chair and join us for our first offsite worship for the summer on May 25 at Bugby Plantation. We are blessed to come together as a church for outdoor worship at this beautiful location. We will not have children's Sunday school or nursery. Please plan accordingly.

This Pentecost, worship will be offsite at the Puckette Residences overlooking the river. We will celebrate three baptisms during our service, and immediately following, we will take a parish photo, then have a parish picnic. Don't miss this blessed day.

We invite you to notify the church office if you or a family member are graduating from high school or college this year so we can recognize and celebrate your achievement.

Please email the name, graduating school/college and future plans to Sally Dixon by Friday May 23rd.

If you are one of these graduates, please join us for worship on Sunday, June 1st, to be recognized and blessed as you step into whatever comes next.

The Sosnowski Scholarship scholarship is awarded to a rising college freshman or current college student who is/has been actively involved in the life of St. John’s Parish Church. The Scholarship Committee welcomes applications through June 30.

Since our transition to Haut Gap, Kristina Lester has coordinated our Table Host ministry, that provides delicious goodies to eat while we fellowship with one another. We’d like to thank Kristina and her family for the hard work they’ve done over the last three years. 

During our summer transition to Resurrection Hall, we will still offer coffee and water under the Welcome Tent between the 8am and 10am services as weather permits, but we will not serve food except for special occasions. 

Consider serving with us on the Welcome Team, as it is a wonderful way to meet all the members of our congregation. If interested, contact Lori.

Join with others from all around the ADOSC on Friday, June 13 for the annual Anglican Diocese of South Carolina’s Night at the RiverDogs. The game begins at 7:05 pm.

A block of seats in the upper deck along the first base line has been reserved. Each ticket is $13.00 (for adults or children), and you can pre-purchase your parking pass for $5.00 (in the lot it’s $10.) The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday, May 16th. Deacon Joyce Harder will send tickets and parking passes via e-mail beginning the week of May 26th.

Sign up to assist our nursery and Sunday school classes. They're loads of fun and all the materials are prepared for you ahead of time. All you need to do is show up and have fun with the kids.

We would like to honor Meemee this month for giving so much to the building of His kingdom. And going beyond the walls of church to share God’s love in places near and far. Thank you Meemee for being a lay minister of the Eucharist and for visiting our home bound. Thank you for sharing His word in Sunday school, Feeding the Multitude, Missions and more. It is your positive presence and your encouragement that most of us remember when we give thanks for you.

The Prayer Shawl Ministry provides hand-crafted shawls to give comfort and warmth to those experiencing illness, sorrow, need, or distress.  We also provide baby blankets to celebrate the newly baptized. Makers pray as they create the shawls and blankets which are then blessed by our clergy.
