Baptism

Baptism

Baptism is an "outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace" that leads us from death to life through the Triune God — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — in the washing of our sins and faith in Jesus Christ. In baptism, we sinners are reborn, made new, accepted as a member of Christ's Body, the Church, and adopted as God's child and heir (ref. Psalm 51:1-2, 7-10; Ezekiel 36:25-26; John 3:3-5; Romans 6:1-11; Colossians 2:9-14).  If you would like to learn more about baptism please contact Fr. Jeremy at frjeremy@stjohnsparish.net.

A Prayer for our Parish

Dear Heavenly Father,

Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
