Each semester, as part of our domestic outreach, St. John's Parish Church has the honor of providing dinner for The Citadel Cadets at St. Alban's Chapel. This semester they asked us to host the first Monday chapel dinner of the year, with one of the largest crowds of the year in attendance. GriefShare is a safe place where hurting individuals can find hope and healing after the death of a loved one. It is a seminar/support group ministry designed to be lay-led, and it consists of videos, discussion time and participant workbooks that guide group members through each session.

We are gauging interest in a GriefShare group here at St. John's Parish Church. If you are interested in participating in a GriefShare group, please email Sally Dixon or call the office: (843)559-9560 by Wednesday, September 3, to let us know. We expect it to run from mid-September to early December.

Our middle and high school youth groups will start back up from the summer break on September 7 at Resurrection Hall. Middle school youth will meet at 2PM. High school will meet at 3PM. For more information, contact Rob Schluter.

We are excited to share that on Sunday, September 7, St. John’s Parish Church will celebrate Sunday School promotion day and will honor our Sunday School children (Pre-K through 5th grade) during the 10:00 AM worship service at Haut Gap Middle School.

Parents, please bring your children at 9:45AM to the Sunday School classroom hallway at HGMS. We will have a special procession of the children and teachers into worship.

We look forward to celebrating our children as a church family on this special day. Thank you for helping your child take part in our Lord’s Children’s Ministry program at St. John’s Parish Church.

Whenever we obey God's call to be disciples who make disciples, we experience the blessing of witnessing firsthand how the gospel makes a real difference in the world.

Today, we are blessed to have Bp Jeremiah join us from Ethiopia. We also have relationships with Gulu, Uganda, and Lima, Peru; the latter of which Fr. Jeremy, Ann Edenfield and Walt Miller are currently on a trip for the consecration of Bishop-Elect Victor Condori. Please keep safe travels in your prayers for this team.
