St. Albans Chapel Dinner
The dinner for St Alban’s Chapel this past Monday was a huge success. In addition to the side dishes of macaroni & cheese, green beans and coleslaw, the drinks and delicious desserts, we fed over 170 pounds of BBQ to over 250 hungry Citadel Cadets. A huge 'thank you' goes out to all who participated in the dinner preparation and service—from purchasing ingredients to preparing sides, smoking meat and serving the Cadets. There are so many people involved in the process that if we started listing names, we’d surely leave someone out—so it goes without saying that the people of St. John’s Parish Church are fully invested in supporting this ministry. Again, thank you for your support and participation. For more infomation visit: http://stjohnsparishchurch.com/events/st-albans-chapel-dinner--90/2025-09-01 |

Prayer Shawl Ministry
The Prayer Shawl Ministry provides hand-crafted shawls to give comfort and warmth to those experiencing illness, sorrow, need, or distress. We also provide baby blankets to celebrate the newly baptized. Makers pray as they create the shawls and blankets, which are then blessed by our clergy. If you know someone who could benefit by receiving one or if you are interested in joining us, please contact Susan Neville or Polly Sosnowski. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
