Easter Jesus Bag Collection Kicks Off March 15
St. John’s Parish Church has a special partnership with Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center. This partnership includes providing Jesus Bags filled with toiletries, snacks and handwritten cards of encouragement throughout the year. It’s time for the Easter Jesus Bag Collection. These bags are a true blessing to the youth, ages 13-17 years old, housed at the Detention Center. Many have no access to toiletry items and receive no visitors. A quick stop at the Dollar Store along with a simple Easter card of encouragement can make a difference in their lives. Please consider participating. Thank you for your prayers for the youth. Click the link below for a detailed list of collection items.

What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry
We are holding first communion classes for children in first through sixth grade during the Sunday school hour on March 15, March 22 and March 29. Fr. John Sosnowski will lead these special classes, guiding our children in understanding the meaning and purpose of Holy Communion. This is a wonderful opportunity for learning and spiritual growth. All children in grades 1-6 are encouraged to attend these three important Sundays of instruction and fellowship. Celebrating our Children's Ministry LeadersAngie Baughman, Susan Baker, Pam Hanckel, Ann Irvin and Curry Smoak Although your committee was formally made just this past year, we know that it is your heart and years of sharing God’s love with our children that has made you such a blessing to St. John's Parish Church. Our youngest members are nurtured and fed with God’s word each week through your dedication and talents. Your giving of yourselves to children’s ministry plants seeds that grow God’s Kingdom. And we are all grateful to witness the love of Jesus that you share. |

Low Country Pregnancy Center
Lowcountry Pregnancy Center (LPC) exists to provide life affirming reproductive health and family services in a compassionate Christian environment. Some of the services they provide are pregnancy testing, limited ultrasounds, nurse consultations, post-abortion support, parenting classes, fatherhood classes, baby supplies, prayer support and more. St. John’s continues to support LPC yearly with contributions from our outreach budget. In years past, we have participated in baby showers through the DHC and the baby bottle ministry where parishioners collect their loose change for the organization. Interested in finding out more? Contact Libby Puckette. |

A Prayer for our Parish
Dear Heavenly Father, Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit, Amen. |
