Mission Partners: Bishop Godfrey and Bishop Jorge

Mission Partners: Bishop Godfrey and Bishop Jorge

Last Sunday, we were blessed to be joined by Bishop Godfrey of Northern Uganda and Bishop Jorge of Peru for our worship service. They joined us for more than Sunday worship though. They visited our middle and high school youth groups, the DHC meeting on Saturday, the men's breakfast on Thursday and several other groups while they were in town. We were truly blessed by their visit and are blessed by the partnerships we have with them and the dioceses of Northern Uganda and Peru. We are excited to continue working with them as well, especially in supporting the developing partnership between Camp Jubilee and the Diocese of Northern Uganda.

Resurrection Hall Scheduling

Group leaders, please remember to check with Sally Dixon to get your group's meeting on the schedule before advertising it to your group. We have limited space and need to be extremely intentional to avoid scheduling conflicts. Thank you.

What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry

What's Happening in Our Children's Ministry

We are excited to begin a brand-new Sunday School season with a curriculum lovingly crafted by the St. John's Parish Church Children’s Ministry Team. Drawing from both Ms. Pam’s lessons and God’s Big Story curriculum, our teachings will guide children through the major themes of the Bible in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate. In the weeks ahead, children will explore God’s Word through the stories of Noah, Joseph, and Abraham, discovering timeless truths along the way.

All children ages 0 through 5th grade are warmly invited to join us each Sunday during the service from 10–11 AM. If you’d like to volunteer or help introduce a new child to our program, please reach out to us at childrensministry@stjohnsparish.net.

Morning Prayer Stream

Morning Prayer Stream

"It’s very easy to wake up in the morning, get dressed, have a cup of coffee while we check the latest news, and immediately jump into our day. We often check our emails before we check in with our souls. What would happen if, instead, we started our day in praise and thanksgiving to God?" ~Rookie Anglican Guide to Morning Prayer by Jacob Davis.

Every Monday through Thursday at 8AM, Fr. Jeremy faithfully streams the office of Morning Prayer to our Facebook page. Come join him as we prepare ourselves for the day out of a place of worship.

A Prayer for our Parish

Dear Heavenly Father,

Together we are united with the saints of the household of God; built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ himself being the cornerstone. In Christ alone our church is being joined together, and is growing into a holy temple of the Lord by the Spirit. By Your wisdom may we discern what You want us to build; Through Jesus Christ our Lord and the power of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.
