Teacher Appreciation Week is May 4-8.  We are gathering cards for the teachers and all staff at Haut Gap to let them know how much they are appreciated for all they do for the kids.  Please consider writing a card letting them know you are thinking of them.  Do not seal them, as we are going to put in a note letting them know we have people available to pray for them or someone they know needing prayer.  Turn in all cards to the office by Tuesday, April 28.  Robin LaRoche will be in the Connection Corridor with a limited supply of cards for you to stop before church and pick up or you can get your own.  Thank you for helping St. John's Parish Church let the teachers and staff know how much we appreciate what they do.  Questions, please call Sally Dixon.

The Drawing Near to God Bible Study will start a six week study led by Janet Jenkins on Louie Giglio's "Don't Give The Enemy A Seat At Your Table" Wednesday, April 29th, 9:30–11:30AM in Resurrection Hall. It’s time again to honor our Super Seniors (80’s +) with lunch and enjoy some bingo with our bingo master, Rob Schluter, in Resurrection Hall on Friday, May 1st from 11:00 am.-1:30 p.m. Please RSVP by April 26th to Sherry Fox, 843-729-1202. The Gentlemen Songsters, a Sea Island a cappella Group who previously performed for us at Resurrection Hall, have invited the members of our congregation to a free concert at 5PM on April 24th, at Church of Our Saviour: 4416 Betsy Kerrison Pkwy Johns Island, SC. 

Alleluia! Jesus is Risen! Our Sunday School lessons will continue as we follow the life of Jesus after His resurrection. We will explore His time on earth before His ascension and the gift of the Holy Spirit. Thank you to all of our parents and family memebers for your faithfulness to bring your children to Sunday School. It is a pleasure to share God’s word with these future leaders of our parish.

St. John’s Parish Church has been built on prayer since it was founded. The families who formed this church had strong connections and were always ready to pray when the need arose. The prayers of the saints have sustained us through both physical and spiritual times of warfare. The spiritual battle continues today. Every Tuesday at 1:15PM, a small group meets to address any prayer needs of the parish and to pray where the Holy Spirit leads. Teams are also available for home visits. Every Sunday we also have prayer teams available during Holy Eucharist. These teams join with anyone in lifting their needs to the Lord. Any requests are kept confidential. If you are interested in joining the prayer team, ask any prayer team member or email Lindy.
