Haut Gap’s Fall Festival is tomorrow, Oct 31, 8AM-10AM. We would love your help! If you can volunteer to assist or can donate a dozen donuts, please contact Lucy Jones.

Starting at 9am this Saturday, November 1, we will have a cleanup day at Church Place. We will pick up sticks, burn brush, and clean up around the trees. If able, please bring a weedeater, trimmers or machetes. This cleanup with help prepare an area for Christmas Under the Pines service. It's also a fantastic opportunity to come check out our new home!

On November 9, we are having a parish-wide lunch to celebrate how far we've come with the Higher Ground campaign. Following Sunday worship, we will head over to the Island Porch (160 Main Rd Unit A, Johns Island, SC 29455) and enjoy a catered meal and some fellowship. All are invited at no cost to you, but we do ask you to RSVP by November 2 to ensure we have enough food for everyone.

The Operation Christmas Child outreach project has kicked off. If you did not get a box and would like one, they are available at Resurrection Hall until we run out. After that, you may use your own shoebox for packing or go online to pack one. As you are packing, don’t forget to include a family picture. This means a great deal to the recipient to see the face of the one who cared for him/her in Jesus’ name. Boxes are due back by Sunday, November 16. You may drop them off at Resurrection Hall or bring them with you to Haut Gap on Sunday. Remember to pray for your recipient and his/her family. Happy packing!

We will have confirmation classes this December to prepare for our bishop's visit in February. If you or your child is interested in being confirmed, please let us know. For youth 7th grade and up, contact Rob Schluter. Adults, please contact Fr Jeremy.

Mark your calendars. The Feeding of the Multitude this year will be November 22, noon - 3PM at Berkeley Electric. We are collecting bags of groceries and will need volunteers to help on the 22nd. Click the link below for the list of items we are collecting for the bags.

We found Lambchop in this bag at Haut Gap after worship a couple of weeks ago. If they belong to you, please let us know so we can get Lambchop and her bag back home or come pick them up at Resurrection Hall.

Please remember when writing checks to the church to use "St. John's Parish Church" on the name line. The bank works with more than one St. John's and will not accept checks unless the name matches exactly. Thank you.

We are excited about our curriculum lovingly crafted by the St. John's Parish Church Children’s Ministry Team. Drawing from both Ms. Pam’s lessons and God’s Big Story curriculum, our teachings will guide children through the major themes of the Bible in a way that is engaging and age-appropriate. In the weeks ahead, children will explore God’s Word through the stories of the Old Testament, discovering timeless truths along the way.

All children ages 0 through 5th grade are warmly invited to join us each Sunday during the service from 10–11 AM. If you’d like to volunteer or help introduce a new child to our program, please reach out to us at childrensministry@stjohnsparish.net.

The Lay Readers serve during our Sunday service as well as any other worship services we have throughout the year. Most Sundays we have two Lay Readers to read the lessons and psalm as well as lead us in the Prayers of the People. This ministry often goes hand in hand with being a Eucharistic minister to help with communion; however this is not always the case. For more information or to express interest in becoming a Lay Reader, contact Sally Dixon.
