St. John's Parish Church hopes to point the youth at the Charleston County Juvenile Detention Center to Jesus by blessing them with fifty Jesus bags this Christmas. The Detention Center houses 13-17 year-old youth, mostly males with a few females. We can bless them with bags filled with items for personal hygiene, snacks and Christmas Cards. Take a look at the list and consider donating to help reach these youths.

Join us at 4pm, Sunday December 21 for Christmas Under the Pines, a service of Lessons and Carols with Holy Eucharist. This will be our first service at Church Place, and we invite you to come early at 3:30pm if you would like to walk the grounds and see the property. Following the service, we will have dinner and a time of fellowship. Be sure to bring a comfortable chair and dress appropriately for the weather, as this is an outdoor service.

Offering envelopes will be available to pick up at Haut Gap this Sunday for anyone who indicated they would like them on their pledge form. If you don't see yours or didn't indicate you wanted envelopes on your pledge form but would still like some, please contact Sally Dixon.

Philip Bryan has hand crafted several wooden boxes to help raise funds for building on the new property. They are available for pickup at Resurrection Hall with a donation to the Building Fund or see Debbie Hawkins in the Connection Corridor on Sunday. Come take a look while supplies last. All proceeds go directly to the Building Fund.

2026 Parish Calendars are here and currently available! See Debbie Hawkins in the Connection Corridor on Sunday or Resurrection Hall during the week to get yours. Each month features a different photo of our parish family, and the back features the Parish Photo we took on Pentecost Sunday. Suggested minimum donations are $50 per calendar, and all proceeds go directly to the Building Fund. Get yours while supplies last.

Women of all ages join us as we start a new six week study on David Jeremiah's 1 & 2 Timothy & Titus: The Way to Live and Lead for Christ. 7PM Thursday nights beginning January 8. Led by Curry Smoak, Lynn Gervais, and Ginni Quisenberry. Get the book on Amazon. 

Our Sunday School kids have been learning about Moses, a faithful shepherd who listened to God’s voice, along with other Bible heroes like Jonah and David. Each lesson teaches stewardship and thanksgiving, helping children grow in gratitude and faith.

We’re so thankful for our amazing volunteers who make each Sunday special! As we move into Advent and Christmas, we look forward to a special program on December 21, led by Susan Baker, Angie Baughman, Kristi Becks and Julie Stroble.

We would like to recognize Terri Porcher for all she does in ministry to the body of Christ. Lay reader, chalice bearer, choir member, and office angel, are just a start. She also coordinated a fabulous fund raiser for the Peru mission and acts as a  “local uber driver” to many in their times of need. She always shows up with a willing and loving heart to care for our church family. Terri, we love you and appreciate all you do for our church in Jesus name.

The Lay Eucharistic Ministers are able to experience the Lord’s presence in a special way as He reaches out through us to touch and minister to those who we have missed in our congregation. He allows us to share His presence and be with those who need to know that He hasn’t forgotten them, and St John's Parish Church still considers them to be an important part of our family.
